Florida Hometown Heroes & down payment assistance
Florida offers programs that may help eligible buyers with down payment and closing costs. The Florida Hometown Heroes program, administered by Florida Housing Finance Corporation, offers eligible first-time buyers assistance in the form of a deferred second mortgage, not a grant.
Eligibility depends on income limits, purchase price limits, credit, occupancy, homebuyer education, and working with a participating lender.
