Building from the ground up
Construction loans fund the building of a new home. Many borrowers prefer a one-time-close (construction-to-permanent) loan that starts as a construction facility and converts to a permanent mortgage without a second closing, subject to lender guidelines.
- One-time-close construction-to-permanent
- Two-close construction then permanent refinance
- Lot / land loans (terms and down payments vary widely; raw land is harder to finance)
